so many surprises unfold in this grizzly bear video by gabe askew.
thank you for passing this along, feltron.
There is something so sweet and innocent about old people. I know they’ve experienced many more things than I have, but they seem so much more vulnerable. So I stumbled upon this video of Fred Knittle singing “Fix You” by Coldplay, and it is adorable and humbling. I love that the notes aren’t right on key, and none of the people in the group look as perfect as they probably once did. So give it a shot if you’ve got a minute.

Good things are coming in the mail from Kansas!
My goal every year is to watch all of the potentially Oscar winning movies before they roll around. Usually I don’t make it, but this time I think I have a winning chance.
Tonight’s movie was Julie and Julia, which was quirky and cheerful, and it made me want to go buy ingredients for about ten different desserts. I also found the real blog of Julie Powell, which is here: http://blogs.salon.com/0001399/ Kinda cool.
